Project Features

Remembering the Origin and Prolonging the Emotions

Pok Oi Sing Ping Village is located on Ping Che Road, formerly the site of Sing Ping School. The school was built in the 1960s under the collective efforts of the villagers, teachers, and students. It represented the sense of unity, altruism, and benevolence in the region. While providing educational services, the school was the symbol of community cohesion. Pok Oi Hospital acknowledges and respects the importance to the historical significance of Sing Ping School and aims to pass on the values. The service building and elderly centre of Sing Ping Village feature the traditional pitched roof. The plaque of “Sing Ping School” is preserved as an icon for the continuation of the cherishing memories of the past.

Diversifying and Re-invigorating the Society

In addressing residents’ daily needs and providing a quality living experience, the project includes a canteen, a supermarket, an outdoor plaza, and activity rooms; an elderly centre is set up by POH to provide a variety of social services. All facilities are open to the public to promote a caring and inclusive community. Besides, Pok Oi Hospital will cooperate with Ta Kwu Ling District Rural Committee in event organisation, for instance, Poon Choi (Basin Feast), flea market, holiday bazaar as well as recreational and cultural activities. Residents are encouraged to participate in event planning and performance to foster communication, aiming to boost local vitality and forge stronger social connections.

Co-creating with Joint Endeavours for Sublimation

Pok Oi Hospital will organise workshops with neighbouring organisations to invite students to create mural paintings on the project’s sound barrier walls. We hope the residents will work together with us to build a vibrant and harmonious community.
